Paradox Living…where trial & error happens…
But where magic begins!

Paradox, an absurd or contradictory statement or proposition which when investigated may prove to be well founded or true.

If everything around us is a paradox and everyone has a paradoxical nature to them, wouldn’t it be fair to say that understanding and accepting the paradoxes in your life might lead you to discover something magical that no one thought possible?

Paradox Living is a micro–social enterprise start-up; it aims to help remove stigma from mental health, promote accountability for the environment, and motivate a shift in cultural and social behavior---inclusiveness, gender equality. Its purpose is to encourage the follower, reader, and listener to live a more fulfilling life and to have the courage to produce and then share! Whether it’s a presentation for a board room meeting, a song, a science experiment, an idea, or a product, if we keep it too close to us it can hurt us in the long run. We cannot change a culture if we don't share our thoughts. Sharing changes the world.

In his book ‘The Practice—Shipping Creative Work’, Seth Godin says, ‘Ship your creative work, because it doesn’t count if you don’t share it.’ But to share requires courage and belief in yourself; not feeling good enough, to ship your creative work, idea, invention, or yourself is a catalyst for an unhappy life. Paradox Living promotes a lifestyle that involves and encourages trial & error while you share your creative work. You don’t want your work to be flawless or perfect, because we know that the pursuit of perfection is the artists’ biggest slag—waste material that produces no good. Share what you have now and don’t fear what you might discover, it might be uncomfortable, but it might also be magical!

‘There is a process you must follow to improve your work, your relationship, your business, and your life which includes finding the answers yourself through the mistakes. Only then can you communicate what it feels like to fail or succeed, feel defeated or excited, believe in yourself, and doubt everything you do.

Once you have lived it, you can teach it and share it, no matter your credentials, your gender, your disability or your circumstances.’

Through the ‘Roseto Creative Mind Hub’, Paradox Living provides mental health support, career guidance, and advice on how to change your mindset and reach your full potential to lead a happy life. Inspired by the Roseto effect, a phenomenon where a community in Pennsylvania had very low heart disease thanks to a stress-free lifestyle based on community support, the Roseto Creative Mind Hub encourages sharing ideas in our community whether we feel up to the task, or whether our product is ready or not. If you start from your community, sharing isn’t as hard as it looks, and reaching your target audience is easier than you think. That is the first step to overcoming fear.

Paradox Living owes its unique holistic and creative training model to its founder Giovanna Fera, who is the author and illustrator of adult and children’s books that focus on mental health, environment, and community.  Art therapy is one of the holistic practices she integrates in the training and therapy programs she develops. The ‘Fish Tank’ art therapy using flow paints, allowed her to heal from childhood trauma and gave way to her new artistic style. Through Paradox Living, she hopes to share her tips. tricks and knowledge.

‘Art Therapy has allowed me to think alternatively. The study assignment, ‘the Jungian box,’ I was asked to do was the catalyst for releasing my fears. The same day I finished my task, I penned my first-ever children’s book series, ‘Flow Tales’, and it felt great. Years of domestic violence and an oppressive religion that hindered my creativity and ingrained fear in me, were finally gone.

We all have the potential to reach our tipping point—the point where great things start to happen for us, but without the courage to try and fail, that point will be impossible to reach.

Share what you have.
